The only CUP expert that I know of is Dr. Frank Greco in Nashville , Tenn. There is also a Dr. Ephraim Casper who lists CUP as a specialty. He is in a satellite of Sloan Kettering in Basking Ridge, NJ.
When my daughter was diagnosed she was treated by Dr. Rita Axelrod in Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Axelrod is primarily a pulmonary oncologist, but that is how Alison's cancer presented when she was first diagnosed. Her lungs were covered, and she was having trouble breathing.

I am being treated by Dr.Frank Greco in Nashville,TN. at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute. I can not say enough good things about him. He is a great doctor and a truly special person. I can say without a doubt that I am still here because of him. I was given 6 months to live at the time of my diagnosis in 2007 and here I am almost 3 years later. I would recommend that anyone with CUP go see him if possible. He has done more research and has more knowledge than probably any other doctor out there when it comes to Unknown Primary.

Thank you both for sharing your stories about your oncologist(s). Dr Greco has actually agreed to be a part of this organization and I am thrilled that he can share his knowledge and expertise with us.
Best wishes to you both.

Hi Ingrid,
I do not know if Dr Greco accepts files to review. His office number is 615-320-5090, and I am sure they can give you the correct answer. Best wishes to your mom.
